Gundam Card Game Release
The Gundam Card Game (GCG) is gearing up for its highly anticipated worldwide launch in July 2025, following a limited Edition Beta release in December 2024. This new trading card game (TCG) brings the iconic Mobile Suits and Pilots from the Gundam universe to the tabletop, offering fans a chance to engage in strategic battles and immerse themselves in the rich lore of the franchise.
The global release of the Gundam Card Game is scheduled for July 11, 2025, and will be available in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese . The launch will feature:
-Four Starter Decks: Each themed around different Gundam series, allowing players to choose their preferred faction and playstyle.
-Booster Pack "Newtype Rising" (GD01): Expanding the card pool with additional units, pilots, and commands.
-Accessories: Including card sleeves, deck cases, and damage counter dice to enhance the gaming experience.
Additionally, a collaboration with the new Gundam Assemble miniatures game will offer special editions of the starter decks bundled with miniatures, adding a new dimension to gameplay.
Each starter deck is designed to be beginner-friendly, containing 50 pre-constructed cards, resource cards, token cards, a damage counter sheet, a bonus pack, and a playsheet. Players can mix and match up to two colors to create unique strategies. The four starter decks are:
-Heroic Beginnings [ST01]: Combines Blue and White cards from Mobile Suit Gundam and The Witch from Mercury, focusing on balanced gameplay.
-Wings of Advance [ST02]: A Green and Blue deck themed around Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, emphasizing resource generation and powerful units.
-Zeon's Rush [ST03]: Merges Red and Green cards from Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, featuring iconic Zeon units like Char's Custom Zaku and Sinanju.
-SEED Strike [ST04]: A White and Red deck inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, allowing for flexible strategies with linked units like Kira and Athrun.
To complement the gameplay, Bandai is releasing a range of accessories
-Official Card Sleeves 01 [E01]: 70 sleeves per pack
-Official Card Case Set 01 [E02]: Includes a deck case and two promo cards
-Official Damage Counter Dice 01 [E03]: Set of six dice
