PSA 10 graded cards - Charizard, Mudkip and Liugi Pikachu!

PSA Graded Card Returns - Charizard!

A few weeks ago we sent in three cards to PSA to get them graded they were a 2004 WB kids Mudkip, a 2016 Japanese XY Promo Charizard, and lastly a 2016 Japanese XY Promo Luigi Pikachu. Each of these cards lean a bit towards the rarer side, so we were quite excited to send them in. After much anticipation we finally received them back from PSA and the results were quite surprising and very unexpected. We received a PSA 7 on the Mudkip, a PSA 10 on the Charizard, and a PSA 9 on the Pikachu.

Costs Spent to Submit

Submitting cards to PSA can be quite costly and due to the rarity of the cards this was no exception. Typically it's best to submit cards to PSA in bulk, as it may typically end up being a bit cheaper, however the submission prices of these rare cards made a bulk submission much more difficult. For the Mudkip and Pikachu the costs for grading was roughly $59.99. We also submitted the Charizard for that same cost originally, however the costs of grading increased to $299 after submission due to the current value and popularity of the card. Which is something you may want to consider whenever you decide to submit any cards.

Prices of These Cards Currently

What makes each of these cards especially appealing is their rarity and how much they currently are going for. The Mudkip card currently at PSA 7 sells for around $220 according to recent sales which is less than it ungraded which has been going for about $300. The Pikachu card at PSA 9 currently goes around $1,609 which is above it's ungraded value of $930. Lastly, the most expensive of the graded cards the Charizard at a PSA 10 currently goes for around $4200 according to recent sales. Not to mention that even ungraded the card still goes for almost $1,800 according to recent trends and sales. Making it's value alone worth more than both the other two cards combined. This drastic difference is value is also in part due to Charizard being a long time fan favorite. Which makes us excited to be in possession of this valuable and now rare card.

These cards really help to showcase the pros and cons of getting your cards graded and how they can drastically affect their value. Although there are definitely boons when a card is graded highly such as the case in the Charizard there can be less value if you decide to just sell the card raw such as in the case of the Mudkip.

What to Expect in The Future

Although this was just one small submission keep your eyes open as we have more cards incoming soon which will also be available for purchase in our store. We cannot wait to share with you some of our next big finds, and graded cards.
